About the Role:
As a Commercial Account Manager, you will play a key role in servicing and managing a diverse book of business across multiple industries, including construction, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and professional services. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional client service, managing renewals and mid-term changes, and supporting the placement of new and renewal business in collaboration with our producer team. This is a client-facing, service-driven role that requires strong attention to detail, organizational efficiency, and technical insurance knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Account Management:
· Act as the main point of contact for our portfolio of commercial clients.
· Manage day-to-day servicing needs including inquiries, policy changes, endorsements, and documentation.
· Proactively manage renewals, ensuring timely communications, risk reviews, and remarketing where appropriate.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and team members.
· Deliver clear and concise coverage explanations and recommendations tailored to client needs.
Policy Servicing & Administration:
· Coordinate and process all policy changes, renewals, certificates of insurance, binders, and cancellations.
· Review policy wordings, terms, and conditions for accuracy and completeness.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation within our Broker Management System (BMS).
· Work with underwriters to obtain competitive and comprehensive quotes for both new and renewal business.
· Prioritize tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
Team Support & Internal Collaboration:
· Collaborate closely with producers and management to service and grow the commercial book.
· Support Account Executives and the broader team with preparation of proposals, schedules of insurance, and client correspondence.
· Ensure all compliance, service, and documentation standards are met.
New Business & Upsell Opportunities:
· Identify and present coverage enhancements or gaps during policy review discussions.
· Provide assistance in onboarding new client.
· Support producers by preparing and managing submissions, quotes, and documentation for new business.
Industry & Product Knowledge:
· Stay current with market trends, product changes, and underwriting appetite across key insurer partners.
· Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance commercial insurance expertise.
